With great sadness we announce the passing of Ron on May 25, 2018 at the age of 95. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Mary, daughters Helen and Ruth, stepchildren Kim (Richard), Carol, and Richard (Vanessa), 19 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Ron is predeceased by his parents Annie and Henry.
Ron was born in England and as a young teenager during WWII, he delivered telegrams for the British Army. In March of 1963, Ron moved to Canada. He was a man who loved musical theatre. As a tenor, he was in several musical theatre groups including North Van Players, Theatre under the Stars and Maple Leaf Singers. He performed in many productions including Guys and Dolls, Pirates of Penzance, My Fair Lady and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. Ron was a volunteer for World Vision Canada and would spend hours retrieving donations collected in “Love Loaf” containers throughout the city.
