Ron was a much-loved husband, father and grandfather. Storyteller, comedian, traveler and angler; he loved a good laugh and time with family and friends. He relished fishing, camping, canoeing, biking and playing with his grandchildren.
Ron grew up in Saskatchewan and worked passionately as a Chartered Professional Accountant in Saskatchewan and Alberta. Upon his retirement, he gave back to the community by volunteering with many different organizations. He gave of his financial expertise to CESO, Good Samaritan Society, NABI, to mention a few.
Ron died as he wished, at home with his family by his side. Ron will be greatly missed by Heidi, his wife of 47 years, as well as his daughters Stacy (Rod), Stephanie (Ryan) and Lindsay (Joel), grandchildren Kailie, Reid, Scarlet, Sawyer, Spencer and Claire; brothers Wally (Shirley) and Allan; sister-in-law Frieda; nieces and nephews; many good friends and colleagues. Ron was predeceased by his parents Waller and Anne Grainger; parents-in-law Reinhold and Emma Tittelmeier.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 29 at 2:00 p.m.at St. Albert Evangelical Lutheran Church, 11 Glenview Crescent in St. Albert.
