Death Notice
With saddened hearts we announce the sudden passing of our dedicated family man, Ron Fournie, at Bluewater Health, on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at the age of 77. Beloved husband of Colleen for 54 years. Loving father of Dean Fournie, Darlene (Jay) Passingham, and Dale Fournie. Cherished Bubba (grandfather) of Corbin, Wren, and Troy Passingham. Dear brother of Pearl Arden. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Verne and Eva Fournie, and siblings Eldridge Fournie, Gerald Fournie, and Janet Fox. Ron was an avid outdoorsman, and a man of integrity. A flourishing tradesman, Ron obtained four Journeyman tickets, was a successful professor at Lambton College, and became a published author.
His laughter, enthusiasm, and “Hi-Ya” will be missed by all.
Visitation
Family and friends will be received at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia, on Friday, January 26, 2018, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cremation will follow.
