Obituary Overview
Roger William Jollimore
Jollimore, Roger William, age 63, of Dartmouth, formerly of Terrance Bay, passed away peacefully, yet unexpectedly on March 22, 2018.
Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Ainsley and Gladys (Slaunwhite) Jollimore.
Roger was a very loving husband and father. He adored his wife Margaret, daughter Katie, and son Ian.
He was a very talented mechanic who could do nearly anything. Roger worked at Rand Auto Electric for nearly 30 years and was currently employed at Dexter Construction. Most of all, Roger will be remembered as an amazing musician who had a voice that was second to none. He was the lead singer of “Nashville Sound” since he was a teeanager. Many will remember the music that poured from Rollie and Zella’s shed, a place he called his second home. Roger also loved camping trips with his trailer. He will be sadly missed by bandmates Perry, Johnny, Ricky and Long-time friend Gary (Gert) Slaunwhite, but most of all by his loving wife, children and grandchildren.
Roger is survived by his wife of 26 years, Margaret (Boudreau); daughter, Katie Jollimore (Jeremy Bennett); son, Ian (Veronica) Jollimore; grandchildren Cameron and Taylor; brother Robbie (Marilyn), and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his sister Rosie Murley.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 and 7-9pm on Wednesday March 28th in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. The funeral service will take place at 10am on Thursday March 29th in the funeral home chapel with a reception to follow. Interment on Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
