1946-2018
Passed away in Montreal on September 20, 2018. She leaves to mourn her best friend and partner of 46 years, Liane Langlois, her brother Keith Robertson, her sister Patricia Timmerman as well as many other family members and friends.
Maureen was born in Cape Town, South Africa on August 16, 1946 to William and Mary Robertson. The family immigrated to Ontario in 1951. She attended high school on Alberta and graduated from the University of Alberta located in Edmonton, Alberta, before moving to Montreal in 1972 where she continued her teaching career and earned a Master’s degree in English as a second language from Concordia University. She taught at Collège Français from 1981 until her retirement in 2015.
Maureen was very much appreciated by her colleagues and students. She was an avid reader and a devoted friend. She loved nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed and cherished precious moments spent with family and friends.
She will be missed dearly.
Family will receive condolences at Trinity Pentecostal Church (1050 Shevchenko, LaSalle (Qc) H8N 1N6) on Friday October 5, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and the Celebration of her life will follow at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donation to Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation would be appreciated by family.
