Obituary of Robert Glenney
Passed away into the presence of his dear Lord and Saviour on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, at the age of 63. Loving husband and best friend for 43 years of Becky (Leverington). Cherished father of Sarah, Victoria (James) Palmer, and Peter (Courtney Showers). Devoted grandpa of his pride and joy – grandson Aubrey. Dear brother of Ward (Lois), Dean (Vonita) and late Carolyn Baird. Bob enjoyed his time on the dairy farm in Wellandport that he owned and ran with his wife Becky and family. He loved horses and most animals. He was committed to his church and was fond of his time as a Sunday school teacher. Bob had a great sense of humour and always saw the lighter side of things, even after he was diagnosed with Huntington’s Disease. Special thanks to the many people that helped care for Bob: including the staff at United Mennonite Home in Vineland. Friends will be received at Wainfleet Brethren In Christ Church (corner of Hwy 3 and Perry Rd.) on Sunday, January 7 from 3 – 5 p.m. A funeral service will take place at the church on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 11 a.m. Interment at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Wainfleet – followed by a reception at the church. Donations in memory of Bob may be made to Huntington’s Society of Canada, #400 – 151 Frederick St., Kitchener, ON, N2H 2M2, or Wainfleet BIC Benevolent Fund. Arrangements entrusted to BALLARD MINOR FUNERAL HOME, Dunnville.
