Friesen, Robert – Suddenly at his home on May 2, 2018 at the age of 62 years from a heart attack. Loving husband to Andrea (nee Lefebvre) for 36 years. Devoted Dad to Brett (Claudia) and Sarah (Andrew) Moorlag. Cherished Grandpa Bobert to Benjamin and Stella. Will be fondly remembered by his sisters Bonnie (Bill), Mary Ann (Ken), Shirley (Ken); parents-in-law Don (Clare), brother-in-law Mark (Lucia) and sister-in-law the late Laurie (Dave). Rob is also survived by many loving family members, close friends and his dog Max. Predeceased by his parents John and Linda. Rob was employed at General Motors for 32 years. After he retired, Rob enjoyed camping, fishing, golfing and socializing with family and friends over a good home cooked meal and a drink! He was very generous to others, hardworking, honest and passionate throughout his life.
Arrangements are entrusted to the George Darte Funeral Home, 905-937-4444. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Rob’s life will be held on Saturday May 12, 2018 between 1-4 pm at Club Capri, 36 Cleveland St, Thorold, Ontario. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial donations may be made to Rankin Cancer Run in Rob’s honour.
