Obituary for Robert Mathieu Suykens
On Friday, October 5th, Robert Mathieu Suykens peacefully passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband to Janet, father to Karen and Steven, and “Grampoo” to Ben and Emma. Survived by his sister Inge, and his many brothers and sister-in-laws, and cousins. A heartfelt thank you to his many friends and family that shared in his life. He lived life to the fullest with an unwavering energy to the very end. Warmest appreciation to the numerous caregivers that helped him throughout his last days: Dr. DePetrillo, Dr. Scott, and all the various health and palliative care units. And deepest gratitude to the staff, volunteers, guests and families of McNally House who allowed us all to enjoy our final days with him. Their generosity and compassion are immeasurable.
