Robert Louis Snow
April 04, 2018
With heavy hearts, the children of Robert Snow wish to announce the passing of their father, on Wednesday, April 4, 2018, at his home in Fall River. Born March 29, 1934 in Windsor Jct. Robert was predeceased by the love of his life, our Mom, Vivian (Smith), parents William and Ester (Chamberlain) Snow.
Robert, R.L. to many was a retired veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces. His love of writing, joke telling and covering sporting events was a passion in his spare time during his 33 year military service. Robert was awarded The Canadian PeaceKeeping Service Medal honouring his service on an international peace keeping mission and his valuable contribution to world peace. Robert was also a 50+ year member of the Masonic Order.
Not a day went by without a joke in every conversation. Making others laugh and smile was his passion and life’s goal. He went above and beyond to keep everyone smiling. “There are some who bring a light so bright into their world that their glow will always remain”.
Robert is survived by his sister Auldis Joseph) Tillman of Bedford, children Robert (Kathy), Enfield, Deborah, Susan (Robert)Hilchie, and Jean (Kevin) Gray all of Fall River. Beloved grandchildren Michelle and Jennifer (Fall River), and Michelle (Germany), great grandchildren Skyler, Ronan, Channing, Ella (Fall River) and Lilli, Ella, Marla (Germany) and step grandchildren, Nicole, Jason and Adam.
Predeceased by his brothers, John, Gordon, Rodney and Charles, sisters Barbara, June and Phyllis.
Special thank you from his children to Sandy Balcom and Krista Snow for all your love and support, during this difficult time.
To his doctor, Michael Fleming, Palliative Care and VON staff, we thank you.
To respect Dad’s wishes, it will be a private family burial.
Dad, as you always joked to everyone, “when my doctor asked how I was doing, I always told him, well, the last thing I’ll ever do…is die”. We always loved playing the game, what did the leaf say? I’m leaving! What did the banana say? I’m splitting. What did the bald headed barber say? I’m outta here! Good bye Dad, until we hug again in heaven.
As long as we live Dad, you will be loved and never ever forgotten.
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Robert Louis Snow April 04 2018..
