Life Story for Robert Eugene Panian
Robert Eugene (Bob) Panian of Saskatoon, SK, formerly long-time resident of Loon Lake, SK passed away suddenly on May 5, 2015 in Saskatoon, SK. Bob was born in Loon Lake on October 13, 1934 and took all of his schooling there. After school he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force and served as a Navigator on the CF-100. This was an important part of his life and he retained a keen interest in aviation, always enjoying the Air Show at CFB Cold Lake. After an honourable discharge, Bob went on to attend « Tech » and became a journeyman electrician. He also worked as a Radio Operator at Buffalo Narrows, and later joined Canada Post, retiring as Postmaster in 1990. Following his retirement, Bob enjoyed travel, photography and countless hours of fishing, many of them spent with his great friend, Barry. These were some of his happiest moments.
Bob leaves to mourn his passing: his loving wife, Frankie; two daughters, Lynda and Joan; his sister, Lorraine; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a large extended family and many friends.
In accordance with Bob’s wishes, no funeral service will be held. Those wishing to extend condolences may do so at www.marshallsfuneralhome.ca. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
