In Loving Memory of Bob
Mitchell, Robert Edward – passed away peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Hamilton on Monday, February 12, 2018 at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Marion. Dear father of Cathy (Fran Begin), Diana (Harry Huie) and Jim (Mimi). Beloved Grandpa of Nicholas (Gloria), Gillian, Chris, Shawn (Stephanie), Melanie (Dan), Chalene, Stephanie and Mitchell (Sarah). Also survived by his sisters-in-law Jean Lymburner and Carol Bell. Bob was a Mason, member of the Hamilton Heritage War Museum as well a member of ProBus. He was a very proud volunteer for the Canadian Cancer Society for over 25 years. He taught for 35 years in St. Catharines, Hamilton and North Bay. Bob was a devout member of the United Church and enjoyed singing in various Church Choirs for 70 years. He loved to fly and earned his Pilot’s license in 1962. Over the years, Bob built 2 planes and took great pride in sharing his passion with his family. Bob’s family will receive visitors at First Grantham United Church, 415 Linwell Ave. St. Catharines on Thursday, February 15, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of Celebration of Bob’s Life at 2:00 p.m. In memory of Bob, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society or First Grantham United Church.
