Ever-loving husband of Mary Jane (Duprey), a love affair of over 70 years. Terrific Dad of Ron (Jo), Carol Ann Duronio (Pat), Larry, Nancy Unger (Reed), Norm (Sally), Jean, and Tom (2017). Grandpa of Dave and Steve Duronio, Mike and Steve Dumouchelle, Tommy and Rob Dumouchelle, Peter, Mary and Grace Bastien, and Nicole Dumouchelle. Great-grandpa of six. Predeceased by brother Albert (Gertrude) and sister Norma McMurdie (Jack). Veteran of WWII, dedicating six years to the RCAF, three years overseas with the 430 Squadron. Photographer, Administrator, Author, Adventurer, Sailor. Showed by example how to live with faith and integrity. Dad and Mom were true soulmates, cheerfully enjoying each other’s company. A sweet and patient man, he held her hand day and night. Sailing his one-man Sunfish on Lake Erie was a passion he enjoyed well into his 90’s. Many thanks to cousin Rick for hauling him out of the waves whenever needed. A full, enjoyable life of 100 years is attained when friends, extended family and community share love and time. Thank you to all. In kindness, memorial donations may be made in Bob’s name to the Salvation Army.
Visitation at Janisse Funeral Home 1139 Ouellette Ave, Windsor, (519) 253-5225, on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 from 4 – 7 p.m. with parish prayers at 6:00 p.m. PLEASE NOTE: Friends are requested to meet the family on Thursday, August 9, 2018 at St Mary’s Church, 12048 County Rd. 34, Maidstone for further visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow.
