Robert (Bob) Nieman
It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Nieman announces his passing after brain tumor surgery complications on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at the University of Alberta Hospital, Edmonton, AB.
Bob was born in Humboldt, SK on September 18, 1962. Bob grew up in Lake Lenore. He attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon where he received his Bachelor of Commerce degree and then went on to receive his Education degree from the University of Regina. Bob spent the last 30 years teaching in Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta. Bob was an avid golfer and Boston Bruin fan.
Bob will be forever remembered by his mother, Arlene; his son, Seth; his siblings, Donna (Glen) Braun, Bruce (Karen) Nieman, Kathleen Nieman, and Lois Nieman (Andre); Seth’s mother, Terry Maier; his nieces and nephews, Michael (Miranda), Kyle and Brendan Braun, Scott (Brandi), Mark, Nicole (partner Spencer) and Ryan Nieman, Morgan Paydli; and four great nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father, Doug.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held at The Cathedral of The Holy Family, 123 Nelson Road, Saskatoon on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. Rite of Committal will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens at a future time.
Memorial donations in memory of Bob may be made to Saskatchewan Pro-Life.
