July 18, 1938 – March 15, 2018
After a courageous, short term illness, Bob passed away surrounded by his family.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Jim and Katie Butz, his three brothers, two sisters and his son Blair in 1966.
Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Eleanor of 63 years. He is survived by his children, Debbie (Bruce Dean), Barry (Yvette), Charlie (Kim), Kelli, Tim (Michelle), Jay, Casey (Carol), his 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Bob loved his life with horses, worked hard in the oilfield since the age of 14 and was a big hockey fan. He travelled to many countries and spent several winters in Arizona. For the past 36 years he has loved his annual fishing trip with his boys.
A memorial service will be held at Evergreen Funeral Home – 16204 Fort Rd. Edmonton, AB on Thursday, March 22 at 2 pm with interment at Evergreen Memorial Gardens at 1 pm.
The family is sincerely grateful to the doctors and staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital (ICU)
