It is with great sadness that we the family announce the passing of Rita (MacInnis) Warcop, age 71, on Thursday, January 4, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. Born in Cape Breton she was the daughter of the late John Hugh and Margaret (Burke) MacInnis. Rita worked at the medical libraries at St. FX, Dalhousie and then St. Joseph’s in Toronto where she met her future husband Vince. They married and returned home to raise their family. Rita was involved in many community endeavours such as Brownies, West Mabou Sports Club and Ballfield which was her passion. Later years she worked at Mary’s Hill Home and small options in Port Hood. …
