Rita Mary Germain
May 26, 1930 – June 23, 2018
GERMAIN, Rita Mary at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia, on Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the age of 88. Rita (MacMillan) Germain, formerly of Cornwall. Beloved wife of the late Mike Germain.
Cherished mother of Joanne (Don) Johnston of Georgetown and Micheline (Rob) Thompson of Corunna. Proud and devoted grandmother to Jennifer, Mike, Joey, Sara and Emma. Loving sister to Margaret (Harold) Holland and Ann (Adrian) Lalonde. Rita will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her mother Hazel (Racine) and Ranald MacMillan and brother, Joseph. Rita was a proud member of the CWL. She trained and worked as a medical lab technician at Hotel Dieu Hospital and Cyto-Path/MDS laboratory in Cornwall and often reminisced about “The Girls” from the lab. The family would like to thank the staff at Vision Nursing and Rest Home for providing Rita with wonderful care and compassion. Funeral arrangements under the care and direction of Lahaie & Sullivan Cornwall Funeral Homes, East Branch, 614 First Street East (613-933-2841). A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 at St. Peter’s Parish at 11 a.m. Cremation has taken place. As expression of sympathy Memorial Donations to Vision Nursing and Rest Home’s Activity Department, 229 Wellington St., Sarnia ON, N7T 1G9 would be greatly appreciated by the family.
