Died peacefully on Thursday May 3, 2018 at the General & Marine Hospital, Collingwood at the age of 89. Rita of Wasaga Beach, beloved wife of her loving and devoted husband William Ramsbottom for over 68 years. Loving mother of Eric and his wife Marlaine, , Lynne Ramsbottom, Cathy Fleming, Anne Ramsbottom-Bowen, Mark, the late Paul and the late Steve. Cherished grandmother of Trish, Eric and David, Neil and Paul, Amanda, the late Darren and Christopher Laberge, Archie and Shawn Wright and Elizabeth and Margaret Bowen and great grandmother of Nathan, Andrea, Dominic, Taylor, Aria, Lachlyn, Kairi, AJ, Shawn Jr. and Cyrena. Rita was a kind and loving woman who cherished her faith and her family. She will be deeply missed. Friends will be received at the Carruthers & Davidson Funeral Home – Wasaga Beach Chapel, 509 River Road West, Wasaga Beach on Monday May 7, 2018 from 7 to 9 p.m. Vigil Prayers will be held at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday May 8, 2018 at St. Noel Chabanel Catholic Church, 133 Dunkerron Avenue, Wasaga Beach at 11 o’clock. Reception to follow. Rita’s family wish to thank the staff and caregivers of the General & Marine Hospital, CCAC and Dr. Marshall for the wonderful care given to Rita. If desired, a donation to the Collingwood General & Marine Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by her family.
