ANHORN, Richard Ronald July 5, 1960 – January 2, 2018
Left us suddenly and too soon at his home in West Kelowna.
Anyone and everyone who knew Rick knew the man he was – caring, compassionate and always there when you needed him. He was always wanting to chat, or teach the grand daughters non-school appropriate things. He was a joker, a teaser, but it was all done with the biggest heart.

Rick was predeceased by his father Berthold (Bert) Anhorn; nephew Jason Degner and brother in law Neil Degner.
Rick was born and raised in Calgary, spending his younger years in the Fairview area until moving to Okotoks. After graduating he worked in the oil patch pipelining. He relocated back and forth from Calgary to Kelowna until finally making Kelowna home.
Rick spent many hours involved with Tyler’s hockey from team manager to the Executive of Westside Minor Hockey Association. The hockey rink is where he and Cheryl met. The friendship grew.
Rick and Cheryl were partners in all aspects of their life. They worked side by side at their business, Anhorn Painting. He took pride in putting his name on his work.
Rick so enjoyed the many camping and fishing trips with family and friends. Everything is better around a campfire and its not about the fish. Many memories were made taking the granddaughters camping at HIS FINTRY.
A funeral service will be held at Everden Rust Funeral Services, 1910 Windsor Rd, Kelowna, BC on Tuesday, January 9th, 2018 at 11:00AM.
