It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Richard at the age of 87. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Michael (Terry), Tim (Judea) and Ruth; grandchildren David, Bryan (Natasha), Jared (Amy), Matthew, Joshua (Chloe), Amanda (Robert), Mallory (Chris), Courtenay (Scott), Timmy, Nick and Dane; fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings Alex, Evellyn, and Clifford as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Richard was predeceased by his loving wife, Norma; son Ricky; daughter Elizabeth; brother Wilfred; sister Ida; and parents Wilfred and Genevieve.
A Celebration of Richard’s Life will be held on Friday, September 7, 2018 at 11:00am at Steele Heights Baptist Church, 5812 149 Avenue NW with viewing at 10:00am. Reception will follow the service with interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to A.C.T. or St. Michael’s Extended Care.
