Obituary of Reg Skinner
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Thursday, June 14, 2018, Reg Skinner of Harbour Grace, age 67 years. Predeceased by grandson: Daelen Murphy; parents: Ralph and Evelyn; brother: Ralph; parents-in-law: Walter and May Sheppard; brother-in-law: James Keeping. Leaving to mourn, wife: Donna; one son: Dale (Jolynn), Riverhead, Harbour Grace; two daughters: Lori (Embry) Murphy, Paradise and Heather (Jason) McCarthy, Harbour Grace; three grandchildren: Faith, Devin, and Milla; fur babies: Baylee and Sully; two sisters: Evelyn (Stephen) Meadus and Eva (Wayne) Dumaresque, both of Labrador City; brother and sisters-in-law: Neville (Eileen) Sheppard, Evelyn Keeping, and Jayne (Eric) Noseworthy; nine nieces: Lindsay, Liza-Rae, Brittany, Christi, Shannier, Wanda, Lisa, Donna, and Deanne; six nephews: Colin, Aarron, Paul, Cody, Paris, and Kerry; twelve great-nieces; nine great-nephews; special friends: Lol and Shirl Rogers, Bill and Sylvia Peddle, and Alex Crocker, Donna Pike and family; neighbours: Sean O’Brien and Danny Neil; also a large circle family and friends. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to Dr. Megan Hayes for her exceptional care. Dr. Larsen and staff of palliative care at Carbonear General Hospital for their devoted care. Dr. Tibbo, Dr. Angel, Dr. Sathya, St. Clares Mercy Hospital and Dr. H. Bliss Murphy Cancer Clinic for their care and support. The family will receive relatives and friends at Noel’s Funeral Home, Harvey Street, Harbour Grace on Saturday, 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday, 2:00 to 5:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Monday, 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service to take place on Monday, June 18 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Harbour Grace. Inurnment in St. Paul’s Anglican Cemetery, Harbour Grace. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, donations in his memory may be made to the Candlelighters Association of Newfoundland & Labrador, PO Box 5846, St. John’s, NL, A1C 5X3.
