It is with great sadness that the family of the late
REBECCA
J. WELLS of Marystown, formerly of Bay L’Argent
announces her passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in
Burin on Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the age of
93. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are; sons, David (Pauline) of Nova Scotia, Aubrey
(Helen) of Fortune, and Clyde (Janet) of Nova Scotia; daughters,
Maisie (Dawson) Matterface of Boat Harbour, Lucy (Clyde) Bath of
LaScie, Judy Whittle of St. Bernard’s and Carmie (Bram) Oake
of Marystown ; sister Hetti Baker of Harbour
Mille; 23 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great
grandchildren plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
She was predeceased by husband
James Wells, parents Lucy & Alphonsus Hatch, step-father Byron
Barnes, daughter Bryde (John) Griffiths, son-in-law Patrick Whittle,
sisters Marjorie Thornhill and Sylvia Myles, step-son Frank (Velma)
Wells, grandson Donald Wells. In Rebecca’s memory donations
can be made to St. Hilda’s Anglican
Church.
The Wells Family will be accepting visitors at
Wiseman’s Funeral Home in Marystown on Friday, March 2 from
2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday, March 3 from 10 a.m to 9 p.m.
Funeral
Service will take place at St. Hilda’s Anglican Church in
Bay L’Argent on a date and time to be announced.
Interment will follow at the
Anglican Cemetery in Bay
L’Argent.
