Peacefully, surrounded by family at The Palace – Long Term Care Home on Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at the age of 90. Beloved husband of Rose Théorêt (née Rozon). Loving father of Carole Duval (late Raymond), Michel Théorêt, the late Jean Théorêt (Lisette), and Jackie Prieur (Richard). Proud grandfather of Stéphane Duval, Sylvain Duval (Josée), Michelle Robinson (Richard), David Théorêt, Tanya Théorêt (Phillip Oliveira), Mathieu Théorêt, Jonathan Théorêt, Andrew Prieur and Phillip Prieur; and great grandfather of 15 great grandchildren. Survived by his sisters Rita Beaupré (late Rolland), Pauline Martin (Don), Edna André (Claude) and Thérèse English (late Réal); and his brothers Raymond Théorêt (Madeleine) and Aimé Théorêt (Marie-Thérèse). Predeceased by his parents Georges Théorêt and Philomene Théorêt (née Larocque); his sisters Georgette Lalonde (late Éloi), Jeanne Boisvenue (late Donat) and Marie-Ange Hamelin (late Maurice); and his brothers Léo Théorêt (late Jeannette) and Roger Théorêt (Lucy). Réal will be fondly remembered by his extended family, friends and neighbours. Relatives and friends are requested to gather at the Salon Funéraire Glengarry Funeral Home, 580 Main St. S., Alexandria, (613) 525-3400 on Friday, January 12, 2018 from 9 – 11 am. A Liturgy of The Word will be celebrated at the Chapel on Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 am. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
