Raymond Francis Sampson « Sam »
Sampson, Raymond Francis “Sam” – age 89 of Cole Harbour. Passed away on Thursday, November 1, 2018 in Ocean View Continuing Care with family by his side. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Lawrence and Lucy (Harris) Sampson. Sam grew up in Halifax and was a proud member for 26 years in the Royal Canadian Air Force which took him too many posts in Canada and abroad. Sam is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Alice (Chiasson); children, Kathy Hodgson (Eric), Windsor, Janice Roe (Stuart), Ottawa, Michael, Ottawa, Tim (Claudette), Cole Harbour, Lori Timmons (Kevin), Cole Harbour; grandchildren, Laura, Jackie, Erica, Christopher, Jonathan, Matthew, Coby, Cara, Paige; great grandchildren, Ava, Sullivan, Ethan and sister, Doris Deveaux, Halifax. He was predeceased by sisters, Evelyn, Lillian, Isabel, Marie; brothers, Gordon and Vincent. Cremation has taken place. Celebration of Life will be held 6pm Tuesday, November 6 in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia. The family would like to thank the staff of Ocean View for their excellent care.
