Raymond George Ernst « Big Ray » Eaton
Eaton, Raymond George Ernst “Big Ray”, age 65, of Dartmouth, passed away on Monday April 30, 2018, surrounded by family.
Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Ray and Bonnie (Sanford) Eaton.
Ray retired from Air Canada after 35 years of service. You could often find him at the ballfields or the bowling alley in his spare time. He was a huge Nascar fan and spent his Sundays watching the race.
He was the rock of the family; he provided a stable and loving environment for anyone in need and always put others first.
Ray is survived by his wife of 44 years, Roberta (Nethery); daughters, Ayleen (Kelly) Wilson, Jessica (Steven) Arnold; son Ray (Amanda); grandchildren, Sam, Isaiah, Nevaeh, Autumn, Ava.
He is also survived by his sisters, Sandra (Paul) Winchester, and Sharon (Bruce) McMullen, and many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2pm on Saturday May 5th, in Atlantic Funeral Home, 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, Rev. James Haughn officiating. Reception to follow.
Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
