PREISS, Randy Scott
It is with heavy hearts that we say good bye to Randy after his tough and courageous fight battling cancer. Randy left us too soon at the age of 55, passing peacefully at The Ottawa Hospital – General Campus on July, 9th with his wife by his side.
Randy was a loving husband and best friend to his wife, Susan. Loving Dad to Megan (Randy) and proud Papa to Maddi Boisclair, Karma Boisclair, Michaela Slusar and Daynon Boisclair. Son to Vicki and Eric (predeceased). Big Brother to Debbie Preiss (Kirk), Sherry Landers (Dave), Darren Preiss, and Stephen Preiss (Dianna). Brother-in-law to Karen Royce and Nanci McNabb (Geoff). Randy will be missed by his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Randy was born in Truro, Nova Scotia. He spent most of his career in high tech. In his early years, Randy was very active with the Scouts. Aside from his love for his family and friends, he had a passion for anything with horse power – especially cars. Paradise was his home and property in Carleton Place – a good day was a day puttering around “Holly Acres”. Randy is now reunited with his fur baby Holly.
We would like to thank the staff at the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre and the caring and attentive staff in the Oncology Unit at The Ottawa Hospital (General Campus).
A celebration of Randy’s Life will be held at Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Dr., Ottawa (613-692-1211) on Saturday, July 14, 2018 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Words of remembrance at 12 noon.
