Obituary for
Rachel Hunter
Hunter, Rachel (nee Hamilton) died peacefully on Friday August 10, 2018 at Sunset Manor, Collingwood, with family by her side, at the age of 100. Rachel, of Wasaga Beach, formerly North York, born in Scotland on December 23, 1917 immigrated to Canada in 1952 with her husband and two children. Rachel is predeceased by her husband James (June 1993) and her son Rev. Rodger Hunter (April 2017) and her grandson Jason Brearley (December 2017). She will be missed by her daughter Myra (Bob), granddaughters Anne (Keith), Cristy and Janis and her great grandchildren Emma and Liam. The family would like to thank the staff at Sunset Manor for their care and compassion. As per Rachel’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society of charity of your choice.
