Rachela Cristiano
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother and Grandmother Rachela. Mom passed away peacefully surrounded by family on September 19,2018 in Port Moody. She was born on August 13, 1932 in Castelsilano, Calabria, Italy. Mom was predeceased by her husband Francesco in 1996. She will be dearly missed by her loving children, Rose (Tony), Sam (Joey), Linda (Sandy); grandchildren Michael, Nadia (Colin), Amanda, Rachela, Marco, Francesco, Jeremy, and Nicholas; and other countless relatives and friends in Canada, United States and Italy. Mom enjoyed many things in life: helping others, cooking, singing, cleaning, praying the rosary but nothing gave her more joy than being with family, especially her grandchildren. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Friday September 28 at 12:30 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church 525 S. Slocan street Vancouver, BC. Private family Entombment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park. In lieu of flowers donations to BC Children’s Hospital would appreciated.
