Obituary of R. Joe McGregor
Suddenly with his family by his side, at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, on Monday evening, April 23rd, 2018. Roy Claremont “Joe” McGregor, of Owen Sound, at the age of 86 years. Dearly loved husband and best friend of Lois McGregor (nee Armstrong) for 68 years. Loving father of Brian (Barbara), Jack (Pamela), Jim (Angela), Peter (Lynne), Don (Dorothy), all of Owen Sound and the late Michael “Tyke” (2007). Proud “Pop” of 15 grandchildren and “Old Pop” of 21 great-grandchildren. Joe will be sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews and in-laws. Predeceased by his parents, Roy and Sadie McGregor; his siblings, Norman Cripps (Margaret), Gertrude Lang (Dalton), Ruth McGregor and Rose Elliott (Leslie).
Friends may call at the BRIAN E. WOOD FUNERAL HOME, 250 – 14th Street West, Owen Sound, Ontario N4K 3X8 (519-376-7492) on Friday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service for Joe McGregor will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, April 28th, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Kristal McGee officiating. Interment in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Owen Sound. If so desired, the family would appreciate donations to the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation or the Chapman House Hospice as an expression of sympathy.
