Peacefully at The Village of Wentworth Heights, surrounded by his loving family, on September 14, 2018 just 4 days shy of his 80th birthday. Dear husband of Maria (nee Caputo) for 56 years. Loving father of Marcello and Lindsay, Fabrizio and Licia, Anna and Jack, and Michael. Cherished Nonno of Matthew, Elijah, Jack, Isabella, Christian, Jacobus, Emile and Jacob. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Michele and Anna Filice, the late Ada Filice, Maria and the late Eugenio Leone, the late Raffaele Filice, Francesco and Flora Filice, Dora and the late Salvatore Mule, Margherita and Alberto DiPietro, and Raffaela and John Adamo.
Pietro will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. Pietro was very social and his interests included the Donnici Club, the choir at Corpus Christi, the Abruzzese Choir and the Bocce Club at Chedoke. Pietro retired from the United Association of Local 67, Plumbing and Pipe Fitter Union with over 50 years of service. Special thank you to the staff of The Village of Wentworth Heights for all their care and compassion.
Resting at FRISCOLANTI FUNERAL CHAPEL, 43 Barton St.E., on Monday September 17, from 2-4 and 5-9 p.m.
Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Catherine of Siena, Corpus Christi Site, 1694 Upper James St. on Tuesday, September, 18, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to McMaster Children’s Hospital or the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
