Peacefully surrounded by her family on November 10th, 2018 at the Georgetown Hospital – with the heaviest hearts we announce the most beautiful person in the world,… Phyllis ‘Mama’ Pickett has passed away and has become an angel of God
Predeceased by her mother Marie, her father Alexander, and sister Coralie. She is survived by her sister, Murielle, her brother Bobby and many cousins in Antigua
She is remembered with affection by her many nieces, nephews and friends. Referred to by many as ‘Mama’, she had the most thoughtful ,endearing, and loving personality, and offered everyone a friendly, funny, and witty conversation…..especially if it was about her family (or the Toronto Blue Jays)
Survived by her husband Jim Pickett of 20 years, this duo had the most beautiful story filled with love and laughter. Through this partnership she was immediately embraced and adored by Jims family, and became step-mom to Mike (Tracey) and Jim, and loving Grandma to Mike, Rebecca, Joseph, Lara and Zachary
There are not enough words to express how much she cared for her family, and she had the most unconditional love until her very last breath. Everyone knew that Mama’s entire world was focused on her unconditional love and devotion for her two boys- Carl and Jason, her beloved daughter-in-law Jenn, and her two most treasured and cherished gifts, her grandchildren Dyllan and Avery. « Nana loves you both sooooooo much ».
A Celebration Mass will be held on Thursday November 15th at Holy Cross at 10am (14400 Argyll Rd L7G 0B9) for anyone who wants to celebrate and honor the legacy of this beautiful angel. There will be refreshments and snacks served immediately afterwards in the Church Hall.
