It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of a much loved mother, grandmother and great grandmother Phyllis Eleanor Amelia Lawton. Phyllis passed away at her home in Napanee on Monday, July 16, 2018. Phyllis leaves three children to mourn her; Sherry (Jim) Beattie of Erinsville; Tim (Mary-Anne) Alkenbrack of Calgary and Scott (Laurie) Alkenbrack of Calgary. Phyllis also leaves grandchildren James (Barb) Beattie of Napanee; Josh Beattie of Tamworth; Megan Beattie of Napanee; and Nicole Alkenbrack of Calgary. Great-grandchildren Kayleigh Beattie of Napanee; Sarah Beattie of Tamworth; Ben; Garrett and Logan Beattie of Napanee. Brothers Ralph (Sandy) Huffman of Kingston; Brad (Nadine) Huffman of Newburgh and Danny (Shirley) Jaynes of Kingston. Phyllis was predeceased by her parents Frank and Doris Huffman. At Phyllis’ request cremation has taken place. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West (613-354-3341) on Saturday, July 28 from 10:00 a.m., followed by Service in the Chapel at 11:00 a.m. Interment Newburgh Cemetery. Memorial donations made to a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
