Phyllis Atams (nee Hawirko)
June 21, 1925 – October 16, 2018
It is with heavy hearts that the family of Phyllis announce her passing at the age of 93 years. Phyllis will be greatly missed by her brother Paul, nieces; Diana (Andy) Novak, Zena Henderson (Herb), Kathleen Fraser, Rose Borschyk, nephews; Ron (Sharon) Borschyk, Ron (Nina) Hawirko, Allan (Sally) Sawin. Predeceased by her husband Peter, her sisters Jennie Sawin, Ann Gambin, and Katherine Ashton. She was an active member of Lions Club, Army Navy Club and the Jasper Place Legion for many years. Phyllis was an avid sewer, historic scrap booker and shopper.
A Memorial Service will be held at Westlawn Funeral Home, 16310 Stony Plain Rd., on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at 10 a.m. with an interment of Phyllis’ cremated remains following the service at Westlawn Cemetery. In memory of Phyllis donations may be made to STARS Air Ambulance.
