In Loving Memory
So dearly loved, so sadly missed, Phuong-Kim Hong passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on June 10, 2018 at the age of 71 years.
Born on May 30, 1947 in Vinh Yen, North Viet Nam, the second youngest of six children, she moved to Canada in 1975 with her husband and four children to start a new life. Settling in Toronto, she started her career in sales and dress making/alterations. She owned a successful alteration shop in the west end of Toronto.
She was most proud of her two sons and two daughters and their families. Loving and devoted wife to Thomas Kwang Yong Hong. A loving mother, she will be sadly missed by her sons, Eunha (Sky), Sung (Jane), her daughters, Lan Hee (Raymond) and Lan Mee (Keith), and her grandchildren, Matthew, Kyle, Mee-Ya, Russell, Jacob and Sophia. Loving sister to Tran Phuong Tram (sister – California), Tran Dinh Kiem (brother – Toronto), Tran Phuong Mai (sister – California) and Tran Phuong Loan (sister – Vietnam).
She is predeceased by her parents, Tran Dinh Vinh (father) and Tran Phuong Thao (mother), and her brother, Tran Dinh Hanh.
Friends and family may visit on Saturday, June 16th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at McDougall and Brown Funeral Home – Scarborough Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be kindly made to the Pancreatic Cancer Canada Foundation in her memory.
