Phillip Chris Charles was born on Friday, February 26, 1960 in La Ronge, SK, and passed away Thursday, December 21, 2017 in Montreal Lake, SK, at the age of 57 years. Phillip is survived by his companion, Verna Mary Bird; his daughters, Raven Charles and her children, Raine, Sage, Ske, Martha Bird and her son Carter Bird; his stepsons, Peter Bird, Donny Bird, and Martin Bird; his stepdaughter, Esther Bird Smith; his special granddaughter, Linda Rose Bird; his step-granddaughter, Patricia Smith; his brothers-in-law, Wesley Bird and David Bird, his sister-in-law Ivy Bird; his best friends, Irvin Bird, Wilfred Bird, and Francis Bird; his brothers, Robert Charles, Jerry Charles, and Alex Charles; his stepbrother, Leon (Linda) Charles; his sisters, Jean McLeod, Sally Roberts, Sophie Charles, Martha Charles, Annie Charles, and Alice (Raymond) Charles; His uncles, Collin McKenzie, Ike McKenzie, and Alex McKenzie; his aunts, Rosie Cook and Flora Isbister, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Edwin and Hannah Charles; his brothers, Hector, Paul, and Scott; his stepsister, Christine Charles; and his stepson, Quinton Bird. Phillip’s funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 30, 2017 at the St. Josephs Anglican Church Montreal Lake, SK, Rev. Richard Custer, Bishop Adam Halkett, and Bishop Sam Halkett will be presiding over the service. Interment to follow at the Montreal Lake Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of River Park Funeral Home in Prince Albert, SK, 306-764-2727, Don Moriarty, Funeral Director.
