Obituary
Passed peacefully away at the Palliative Care Unit on February 27, 2018, Peter Arnold Hammond, aged 64 years. Predeceased by his father Eric and father in law Walter Harding. Leaving to mourn his wife and best friend Elaine; sons David (Carmen) and Bradley (Darcel); stepchildren Monique Engelke (Hagen), Mylah Beckton, Jennifer Beckton (Anthony Thorne) and George Beckton; precious grandchildren James, Monica, Jacob, Matthew, Caitlyn, Zoey and Jace; mother Eliza; mother in law Carrie Harding; brother Herb (Josephine) and sister Helena Churchill (Freeman); nieces, nephews, close friend Brendan Somerton; also, his much-loved furry friend Speckles. Special thank you to Rev Amanda Taylor, his St. Lawrence Church family, the Cancer Clinic and the Palliative Care Team. Resting at Carnell’s Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Wednesday, February 28 and Thursday March 1 from 1-9 p.m. and Friday March 2 from 11-1 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Friday March 2 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Lawrence Anglican Church with interment to follow in St. Lawrence Anglican Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Lawrence Anglican Church.
