Percy Walter John Hamel of Hanover, formerly of Chesley, passed away at Hanover & District Hospital after a valiant battle with Multiple Sclerosis on Wednesday, June 6, 2018 in his 59th year.
Loving father of Martin of London and Steve (Jenn) of Elmwood. Cherished son of Marie Hamel of Hanover. He will be missed by his brothers Ivan (Janice) of Hanover and Ralph of Walkerton. Percy will be fondly remembered by his niece, nephews and many close friends. He was predeceased by his father Harvey Hamel.
A memorial service honouring Percy’s life will be held at Rhody Family Funeral Home, Chesley on Saturday, June 16, 2018 at 11 a.m. with visitation one hour prior to the service.
Memorial donations to the Hanover & District Hospital Foundation would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
