Pearl Aleathea Fields
Fields, (Bone), Pearl Aleathea, age 97, of Dartmouth, passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 27, 2018 at Oakwood Terrace Nursing Home.
Born in Liverpool England, she was a daughter of the late Marion and Jonathan Bone.
During WWII, Pearl worked as a cook for the British Military. She immigrated to Canada after the Second World War and then worked as a housekeeper and caregiver for senior citizens for many years.
Her favorite place to spend her time was the public library. She also loved the Public Gardens, going to movies and walking on the Halifax Waterfront.
Pearl is survived by her daughters, Diane Fields, Barbara (Guy) Jenkins; grandchildren, Jamie Hiltz (Melissa Gilby), Jesy Ryan, Ralph Jenkins (Meghan Hamilton), Branden-Cole Jenkins; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kayden, Freya and Ophelia Jenkins.
She was predeceased by her husband Alfred James Fields; and one sister.
Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will take place at a later date in Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
