Pauline Zaytsoff
July 21, 1934 – June 11, 2018
Pauline Zaytsoff was born July 21, 1934 in the small town of Ituna Saskatchewan as the fourth youngest of 19 children. She went home to heaven on June 11, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years Edward, twin sister Pearl, older brother Wally (Rosie) and her children Cindy, Sheryl (Daryl) and Rob (Lena). Pauline came to love and adore her grandchildren, Ryan (Kate), Lee, Kristin (Mike), Caleb (Nikki), Madeline and Sara. She was ‘GG’ to her great grandchildren, Lucas (10), Raine (6), Sebastian (5) and Stella (4). They meant more to her than life itself. Visits spent with them and always wanting to know how they were doing were centerpieces of her time.
Pauline was a tower of strength and courage to all who knew her. She was the constant example of a person whose faith gave her the conviction to lead a life full of happiness, joy and above all else to be a servant of the Lord. She believed that there was never a better place in the world than being surrounded by the family and friends that admired her as much as she loved them. She was the pure example of courage, determination and love to her family in her own special way. Her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren will carry the memory of this extraordinary woman long into the future, and for that, while she may be gone from this life, she will always be here with us. The family wishes to thank the staff of Royal Columbian hospital for their unwavering professionalism and compassion in this very difficult time and would like to extend a special thanks to Fraser Health & St. Elizabeth’s for the exceptional in-home support care. A private family service will be held soon to celebrate her life. She is with the Lord finally free from all her pain, to live in eternity, and one day we will all get to see her again.
