OBITUARY
Pauline Marguerite Munroe
July 25, 1942 – August 29, 2018
MUNROE, Pauline Marguerite age 76 of Halifax. With heavy hearts we are sad to announce the passing of our dear Mother on August, 29, 2018 at QE II Halifax Infirmary. Born in Windsor, NS she was a daughter of the late Cecil and Dorothy Johnson and wife of the late George “Dookie” Munroe.
Pauline worked many jobs throughout her life including home care nursing and working at Cornwallis Street Baptist Church. Along with her own family, she always took kids from the community into her home and worked closely with them. Her absence has made a large hole in our family.
Pauline is survived by her children; Lester (Sandra McMullen), Janice (Nickie Furlano), Bridget (Larry Downey), George, Gina (Carson Beals), Monica, Angie (Milton Marsman), Nevada, Michelle (Marlon Thomson), Shannon, Sheryl and Dale; sisters, Doris, Joyce (Roger Strange) and Bernice; brothers, Butch (Margot), Vernon (Phyllis), Kenny, Mark (Mary) and Kyle; 64 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren; God-daughter, Kyla Derry as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband; son, Cassius Munroe; sisters, Muriel and Carolyn and brother Bernet.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5 from 6-9 pm at Cruikshank’s’ Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax. Memorial service will be held on Friday, September 7 at 1pm from New Horizons Baptist Church, 5457 Cornwallis Street, Halifax with a reception to follow. Interment will take place at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens following the reception.
