Patricia « Patty » Veloce
VELOCE, Patricia (Patty) – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Patty Veloce announces her peaceful passing surrounded by the love of her family on Tuesday August 21, 2018 at the age of 54. Devoted wife, best friend and soulmate to Nick Veloce. In the eyes of her daughters, Marie and Nicole, there are not enough words to describe the beautiful, loving and dedicated mother she was. Cherished sister to Val DeBartolo. Patty will forever be in the hearts of her parent in-laws, many brother and sister in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and the countless friends and people whose lives she touched. Patty exemplified selflessness in its truest form. She had a boundless love that was like no other, she made every person she met feel like they were the most important. All of those who were blessed to have known her will carry on her legacy by spreading kindness and love each and every day. Patty made the world a better place. Her loving, caring, and kind spirit will forever be remembered. The Veloce family will receive relatives, friends and guests at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333), on Sunday, August 26, 2018 from 3:00 – 5:00pm and 7:00 – 9:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Roman Catholic Church (2265 Headon Road, Burlington), on Monday, August 27, 2018 at 11:00am. Entombment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Please drop by the Atrium Banquet & Conference Centre (5420 North Service Road, Burlington) between 7-9pm Monday August 27 for a celebration of Patty’s extraordinary life. Please have your attire match her personality: colourful and bright. Memorial donations in Patty’s memory may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation for Ocular Oncology Fund #416 946 6560 #1 or www.thepmcf.ca Donations that are made to Princess Margaret will be matched by the Veloce family and given to the Carpenter Hospice. The family wishes to extend their sincere thank you to the most amazing army of family and friends that supported Patty during this journey including all the staff at PMH, Dr Spreafico, Nurse Jan and Nick.
