Gillen Patricia (“Tish”) Marina -It is with heavy hearts that we announce Patricia’s peaceful passing at the age of 82 on June 26th, 2018 at the Espanola Regional Hospital. Pat threw her last curling rock with her best curling buddies by her side! An avid Maple Leafs and Blue Jay fan to the very end!!!
Daughter of the late Harry and Annie Dagg, Beloved wife of 57 years to the late Ross Gillen. Loving Mother of Carolyn Vollicks (husband Chuck) of Ottawa, Kelly Perih (husband Larry) of Timmins. Cherished Nanny to Nicholas and Mathew.
Survived by her very dear sister June Dinan (husband Paul) of Sudbury. Predeceased by sisters Marjorie Tremblay, Colleen Lowrey, Barbara McKinnon, Hazel Maw (husband George), Brothers Goldwyn, Archie, Clare (wife Donella), Boyce, Kenneth (wife Pauline). Dear Aunt to many nieces and nephews whom she cherished deeply; “second” Mom to many.
The family would like to extend our deepest appreciation to Susan Poulin, Laurie Gerrard and Shirley Myllynen whom all supported Pat endlessly in her wish to continue living in her home once Ross passed. A huge thank you to Dr’s Michon and Trebb and the incredible nursing team of the Espanola Regional Hospital. Your dedication, kindness and compassionate care is second to none!
A Memorial Visitation will be held in the United Church of Espanola on Friday, June 29th at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend James Clark officiating. Interment of ashes in the Espanola Cemetery.
If so desired, Memorial tributes may be made to the United Church of Espanola or the Northern Cancer Foundation.
