Patricia Doreen McAndrew passed away suddenly but very peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, November 15, 2018 in Calgary at the age of 85. For ever in our hearts, Pat will be dearly missed by all those who knew this special lady, especially her 3 children, Kevan and Shelagh McAndrew of Australia, and Diane Schultz (Greg) of Calgary. Her granddaughter Kristine Schultz Lecocq (Dylan) and her brother Orin Buchanan.
Pat was a kind soul and a social butterfly, always active, busy and on the go. Born in Calgary on April 6th 1933, at age 17 she met the love of her life Roy McAndrew while skating on the elbow river in Calgary. They married soon after spending 64 loving years together. Pats career with Air Canada and the Travel Industry made it possible to travel world wide. Always moving from place to place Pat & Roy opened the first ever Dairy Queen in Australia, ran a catering business, a fruit juice kiosk and opened an export wood carving boutique in Kelowna BC with their dear friend Ron Allen. The angels took Pats hand and gently led her back to Roy who has been waiting patiently for her with open arms in heavens garden. Oh how she loved to garden and grow beautiful flowers. The ever lasting love that lived on with Pat and Roy was truly amazing.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, November 29th 2018, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm
at Age Care Midnapore Centre, 500 Midpark Way SE, Calgary, AB.
