Oswald Bernard Clarkson
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Oswald Clarkson, who passed away peacefully on July 9, 2018 with his family by his side.
He was born on the farm near Harris, the eldest of four. He married RoseAnn Marchand in 1954 and together they raised their five children. Ossie was an active member in the community where he farmed and belonged to many organizations. He joined the Knights of Columbus in 1945 in Saskatoon, later transferring to Rosetown. He was a council member on the Home and School Board, drove school bus for 24 years and had a 30 year perfect attendance on the Harris Lions Club. For the past 20 years, he resided in Saskatoon. He enjoyed dancing, attended polka parties and gatherings at Smitty’s with friends until his passing at the Sherbrooke Community Centre.
Oswald leaves to mourn his children, Lenore Pegg, Duane (Laverna) Clarkson, Marie (Terry) Wuschenny, Michael (Laurie) Clarkson, Colleen (Bruce) Adcock, mother of his children RoseAnn Mireau, 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother Bernie (Betty) Clarkson, sister Rita (Tony) Brink, as well as many nieces and nephews and his favorite dancing partner Elsie Chrunik.
He is predeceased by his parents Bernard and Helen, brothers-in-law Tony Brink and Frank Pereschitz, sister Maureen Pereschitz, nephews Scott Clarkson and Ken Curtin.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday July 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Philip Neri Roman Catholic Church on 1902 Munroe Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Sherbrooke Community Center.
The family wishes to express their gratitude for the exceptional care given to dad during his stay at Sherbrooke.
