Orville « Orv » Smith
1945-2018
Unexpectedly, at his
residence, with his wife by his side, Orville James Smith passed away
on December 6, 2018, at the age of 73.
He will be deeply
missed by his wife of 32 years, Carolyn
Smith.
Orv leaves behind his
children Steven (Tanice) Smith, Kimberly Bendall, Rory (Sandy)
Kilkenny, and Dawn (Jon) Rocheleau.
Grandpa Orv and Papa
was so proud of his grandchildren Brooke and Ty, Kyrie, Ben, Liam,
Maddie, Andrew and Ian.
Also left to mourn are
his sister Maxine (Bob) Atchison and his brother Dennis (Debbie)
Smith.
He will be missed by
his many nieces and nephews, a large group of friends and family, and
his furry girls, his cats, Ali and Charmyn.
Orv
wholeheartedly loved his family, he was a devoted member of his
church, and was a good friend to many.
Friends and family will
be received at the EVANS FUNERAL HOME, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block East
of Egerton), on Sunday, December 9, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9
pm. Orv’s Funeral will be celebrated at The Church
of the Ascension, 2060 Dundas St. E., on Monday, December 10, 2018 at
11 am with the Rev. Canon June Hough officiating. Cremation
to follow. Those who wish to make a memorial donation in
Orv’s name are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke
Foundation or The Church of the Ascension.
Carolyn and
her family want to extend a very special thank you for the outstanding
support received from all of the London Emergency Services.
