Obituary Overview
In Loving Memory
Orlando Hewko
September 14, 1934 – March 2, 2018
Went home to see the Lord on March 2, 2018.
Son of the late Steve and Anne Hewko. Survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Eileen.
With his brothers Lloyd and Russell, as a young man Orlando helped work the family farm while attending school in Mundare, Alberta. After graduation from high school, Orlando left to obtain his Chartered Accountant and joined the federal government as an auditor. He retired in 1991 to care for his eldest son, the late Robert. Orlando loved spending time with his family, going camping and fishing. He made personal sacrifices for his family, and was a role model and teacher for his daughter Ginny Hardy (Dave), son Doug (Pauline), and grandson Nick.
He has enriched the lives of many and his compassion and the love he shared will continue in his absence. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is in Heaven as our Guardian Angel and will continue to look after his family.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday, March 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Capital Funeral Home & Cemetery, 3700 Prince of Wales Drive, 613-692-1211.
We love you Orlando!
