Obituary for Opal Feucht
After a two-year battle with cancer, it is with broken hearts we announce the passing of Opal Yvonne Feucht, wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, at home with family by her side. Opal was born on February 11, 1945, at Meadow Lake, SK and passed away on September 28, 2018, at Assiniboia, SK.
She is survived lovingly by her husband Dale Feucht of 55 years; daughter Terri Feucht (Calvin Fender), grandson Chase (Crystal) Hepworth and great granddaughter Aria, granddaughter Raquel (Spencer) McNamara, grandson Travis Hepworth, granddaughter Christie Fender; son Keith Feucht, granddaughter Daneka Feucht; son Richard (June) Feucht, grandson Justin Feucht and granddaughter Sophie Feucht.
She is also survived by her siblings Bruce (Sandra) Handley, Marie (John) Keenan, Joseph (Theresa) Handley, Belinda (Garnet) Johnstone, Mark (Kim) Handley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents William and Antoinette (DeLaRonde) Handley.
In lieu of a funeral and as per Opal’s wishes, a family prayer service was held Saturday evening, September 29, 2018, and a family memorial and scattering of ashes will be held next July at one of her favourite camping and hiking places in the mountains. Opal loved her family and enjoyed travelling, camping, hiking, kayaking, and everything outdoors up until she became ill.
