Nowe; Susan Gail 2018

Susan Gail Nowe, wife of the late Paul Everette (Sam) Nowe, passed away September 15 in the South Shore Regional Hospital. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Beulah (Burrill) Sweeney and sister of the late Barrie Sweeney.
She was a graduate of Prince Andrew High School and the first two year Nursing Program of the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing Class of 1971. She worked 17 years at the Halifax Infirmary and 8 years in the Queens General Hospital in Liverpool.
She was an executive member of the Queens County Community Health Board, the Queens VON Board, the Queens VON Advisory Committee, the North Queens Health Center Board, the Queens Community Health Association, and the Pleasant River-Colpton Community Club. She loved to garden, tole paint, cross stitch and read. Ducks and geese in the pond and on the road kept her busy, as well as her various dogs. She had some special friends, but none more special than her sisters of the heart Bev and Mary Lou. She loved her husband, Sam, the most however, who was her all-time best friend.
She is survived by her step daughter Nadine Nowe-Andrews and niece Tara Majeau.
There will be no funeral by her wishes. A private service for family and friends will be held on October 6,2018 at 10:00 a.m. at the place where her husband’s ashes were distributed. No flowers by request but any number of flowers could be planted in the gardens of friends. Donations to the Cancer Society would be appreciated.
