1928-2018
Norine Elizabeth Wilkinson – 89,
Truro, passed away peacefully, with her family at her side,
on Wednesday, February 28, 2018, at Colchester East Hants
Health Centre, Truro. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of
the late Roy and Ruth (Harvey)
McCready.
She
is survived by and will be forever loved and remembered by her sons,
J. Charles (Rose), Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island; Terry (Judy),
Dieppe, New Brunswick; Roy (Trish), Halifax; grandchildren, Chris
(Amber), Jeff, Shawn (Kate), Michael, Jody, Scott, Ian, Lauren, Emily;
deeply loved and missed by her sister, Sandy Kyte and sister-in-law,
Doris McCready. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by loving
and loved husband of 61 years, Charles T. Wilkinson; brothers, Murray,
David; sisters, Peggy Woods, Doris Murphy; brother-in-law, Eddy
Kyte.
The
family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to Tom and Mary
Guinan for their many years of friendship and support, and to Arlene
who was always just a phone call away. As well, special thanks to
niece, Debbie, for her comforting care and support during
Mom’s last hours.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall
– Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro, where the
funeral service will be held 3 p.m., Sunday, March 4, 2018, Reverend
Valerie Kingsbury officiating. Reception will follow. Interment at a
later date in Robie Street Cemetery, 125 Robie Street,
Truro. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations to First
United Church, Truro, or a charity of choice are welcomed. Private
