Nicole Allen (nee Conrad)
1980-2018
It is with an incredible sense of
sadness that we announce the passing of Nicole
Allen (nee Conrad), which occurred Friday,
June 1, 2018 at the Westford Nursing Home, Port Elgin, NB, following a
courageous battle with Huntington’s
disease.
Nicole was born in Amherst, NS on
September 30, 1980. She graduated from Acadia University in 2003 with
a Bachelor of Computer Science and went on to have an enjoyable career
with the team in the accounting department at UPS. Nicole loved to
cross-stitch and was happiest when she was spending time with animals,
going for Sunday drives, watching movies, or sampling her
mother-in-law’s baking.
Nicole is survived by her husband
Russell of Grand-Barachois, NB; father Mark Conrad, step-mother Carol
Conrad, and maternal grandmother Verna Dowe, all of Amherst, NS;
in-laws Lawrence and Garrity Allen of Glenville, NS. She was
predeceased by her mother Wendy (Tower), paternal grandparents Arthur
and Doris Conrad, and her maternal grandfather Roy
Tower.
Arrangements are under the care and
guidance of Furlong~Jones Funeral
Home, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777) from
where a celebration of Nicole’s life will be held on Wednesday, June
6, 2018 at 2 pm.
Donations in Nicole’s memory
can be made to the Huntington Society of Canada.
