Obituary of Myrtle Acland
ACLAND (nee Hamilton), Myrtle Fern
With sadness on the passing of our mother on December 25th, 2018, in her 99th year born September 5, 1920. Myrtle was family oriented in maintaining her home and caring for her family. In her younger days she enjoyed gardening and fishing with dad, the daily newspaper, TV sports and gameshows, welcoming all into her home as well as church activates. Loving mother of Keith (Janice) of Sarnia, Gerald (Susan VanVliet) of Haileybury, Allan, Marilyn Noll-McDougall (Allan) and Thelma Presse (Vern) all of North Bay. Caring grandmother of Sherry (Norm), Christine (Stewart), David (Nancy), Lori (Dan), Natalie (Matt), Steve (Starla), Kevin (Stephanie), Debbie (Jason), Terri (Steve), Ryan (Samatha), great grandmother of 24 and great great grandmother of 6. Myrtle was predeceased by her husband Robert in 1993, parents Emerald and Clara Hamilton, siblings Ruth Dickson, Clarence and Rose Mary Spray, daughter in law Francina Acland (2013) and son in law Larry Noll (2014). Her family would like to thank the staff at the Nipissing Manor for caring for their mother. Visitation will be held in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday December 29th from 11:00 am until time for a Funeral Service in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow on Monday at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to the North Bay & District Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
